SNP´s Flynn challenged to oppose Rosebank in 'solidarity´ with...

A coalition of 69 Scottish and UK organisations is urging Scottish National Party Westminster leader Stephen Flynn to oppose the Rosebank oil development, citing concerns that profits from the project could benefit an Israeli company linked to alleged human rights violations against Palestinians. The campaigners, including human rights and climate groups, argue that Flynn should extend his vocal criticism of Israeli actions in Gaza to opposing Rosebank, as one of its owners, Ithica Energy, is majority-owned by Israel's Delek Group. They contend that allowing the project to proceed would make Scotland complicit in the financial support of companies involved in the oppression of Palestinians. The letter to Flynn calls for him to raise the issue with the Prime Minister and publicly oppose the oil field's development, which has recently been resubmitted for approval.
