The Israeli military launched a series of strikes across the Gaza Strip, targeting dozens of locations associated with Hamas. Among the sites hit were weapon depots, operational cells identified in real-time, and key infrastructure used by the group. A major tunnel system in southern Gaza, reportedly used for attacks and previously to hold hostages, was destroyed in an airstrike involving over 120 munitions.
The military also targeted Hamas operatives and field commanders in central Gaza. Reports from local media indicate that Yahya al-Mabhouh, a commander in an elite force, was killed during these operations. The strikes were carried out in response to an earlier attack on troops in the Rafah area.
