Speaking at a summit in Abu Dhabi, Gargash described the recent Gaza ceasefire as an opportunity to shift approaches and urged an end to maximalist policies, advocating for the division of land between the two nationalisms. The United Arab Emirates, which normalized relations with Israel in 2020, is positioned as a key player in Gaza's reconstruction and has warned that Israeli annexation in the West Bank would be a 'red line.'

Gargash also highlighted the waning influence of political Islam, referencing the role of groups like Hamas in the recent conflict, and noted that the Palestinian Authority is willing to reform but must address issues such as financial transparency.
