Majority of young people believe Jews exploit Holocaust, poll revceals

A new poll reveals a significant rise in anti-Semitic beliefs among young Americans, with over half of voters aged 18 to 29 agreeing that Jewish people exploit the Holocaust for political purposes. The survey highlights a stark generational divide, as older Americans are far less likely to hold such views. In addition, many young respondents endorse other anti-Semitic tropes, including beliefs about Jewish control of media and politics, and negative stereotypes about money. The findings come amid a surge in anti-Semitic incidents across the country and intensifying debates over the Israel-Hamas conflict, which has further polarized public opinion along generational lines. The poll also coincides with the upcoming New York City mayoral election, where a candidate supported by younger voters has faced criticism for associating with controversial figures linked to anti-Semitic rhetoric.
