A recent poll shows that former New York governor Andrew Cuomo holds a commanding lead among Jewish voters in the New York City mayoral race, with 60 percent support compared to 16 percent for Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani. The poll, conducted by Quinnipiac University, highlights that crime is the top concern for Jewish voters, followed by affordable housing and schools. Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa garners 12 percent support among Jewish respondents, while the remainder are undecided or favor other candidates.
The survey also reveals that Mamdani is viewed unfavorably by 75 percent of Jewish voters, while Cuomo has a more mixed reception, with 39 percent favorable and 50 percent unfavorable. Despite Cuomo's strong standing with Jewish voters, Mamdani leads among all voters citywide, with 43 percent support compared to Cuomo's 33 percent and Sliwa's 14 percent. Early voting is currently underway, with the general election scheduled for November 4.
