Greece's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Harry Theoharis, has described Saudi Arabia as his country's strongest and most significant partner in the Middle East, emphasizing deep historical and cultural ties. Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, Theoharis highlighted the alignment between Saudi Vision 2030 and Greece's economic transformation, particularly in sectors like construction, technology, energy, and logistics. Key initiatives such as the Saudi-Greek Strategic Partnership Council and the Greek-Saudi Business Council are driving cooperation across investment, education, health, and business. Theoharis also pointed to growing collaboration in renewable energy and green hydrogen, with Greece emerging as a leader in clean energy and a natural entry point for Saudi energy exports to Europe. The minister underscored the close cultural connections between the two nations and expressed optimism about further strengthening ties through ongoing high-level discussions and shared economic goals.
