Pernilla Sjoholm, a Swedish businesswoman and victim of Shimon Hayut, known as the 'Tinder Swindler', has expressed shock and disappointment at his recent release from a Georgian prison. Hayut, accused of defrauding women across Europe by posing as a wealthy diamond merchant, was facing up to ten years in prison for an alleged fraud in Germany, but was released after a plea agreement resulted in a one-year suspended sentence. Sjoholm, who lost £39,000 to Hayut, was unaware of his impending release and said she hopes further legal action will be taken against him, as cases remain open in Israel and the United Kingdom. Despite his conviction, Hayut has boasted about being 'unstoppable', while Sjoholm warns that only the law can put an end to his fraudulent activities.
