Six individuals are on trial at Woolwich Crown Court, accused of breaking into an Israeli defence firm near Bristol and causing extensive damage. The prosecution alleges that the group, dressed in red jumpsuits and armed with sledgehammers, meticulously planned the incident to inflict maximum destruction on the factory, which manufactures defence technology equipment. During the break-in, a police officer was struck with a sledgehammer, resulting in a fractured vertebrae and long-term injury. The defendants deny all charges, including aggravated burglary, criminal damage, and violent disorder. The trial, which is set to run until January, will examine video evidence and testimonies regarding the events of 6 August 2024.
