More than 300 students and teachers have been abducted from St. Mary's school in Niger state, central Nigeria, according to a Christian group. The Christian Association of Nigeria revised the number of victims to 303 students and 12 teachers after a verification process, up from an earlier count of 227. This mass abduction follows another incident earlier in the week, where gunmen kidnapped 25 girls from a secondary school in Kebbi state, northwestern Nigeria. The incidents highlight a concerning rise in school kidnappings in the country.
