This year, 201 documentaries, 86 international films, and 35 animated features have qualified, with the documentary count among the highest in recent years. Some anticipated films, such as The Eyes of Ghana and Marc by Sofia, are notably absent from the eligibility list. Shortlists will be announced in December, with final nominations revealed in January.
