Military prosecutors have charged four soldiers with trafficking weapons from Syria into Israel, with two more soldiers expected to face charges soon. The indictments follow a joint investigation by Israeli security agencies that uncovered a smuggling ring involving soldiers, civilians, and Syrian nationals. Authorities allege that the soldiers crossed the border near the Druze town of Hader multiple times, bringing back a significant cache of weapons, including explosives and assault rifles, which were then distributed to criminal groups in northern Israel. Indictments have also been filed against several civilians and Syrian nationals involved in the operation.
