Jordan has strongly condemned an Israeli police raid on the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in Sheikh Jarrah, East Jerusalem. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs described the raid as a violation of international law and criticized what it called systematic efforts by Israel to undermine the agency's operations and significance. According to the agency's chief, Israeli police and municipal officials forcibly entered the compound, seized property, and replaced the United Nations flag with an Israeli flag. Jordan called on the international community to address these actions and ensure continued support for the agency's services to Palestinian refugees. The ministry also denounced recent statements by an Israeli minister rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state, reiterating that Israel does not have sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and warning that settlement expansion threatens Palestinian rights and statehood.
