King Charles lights a candle at special Advent service

King Charles attended a special Advent service at Westminster Abbey, where he lit a candle and expressed his joy at celebrating the holy season with church leaders from the United Kingdom and abroad. The service highlighted themes of Advent, unity among Christian denominations, and the experiences of persecuted Christians. The congregation included religious leaders, members of the clergy, and representatives from other faiths and charities. A moving testimony was delivered by Ribqa Nevash, who shared her experiences as a persecuted Christian from Pakistan and her journey to the United Kingdom. The King offered a message of hope, peace, and unity to all present, emphasizing the importance of community and support for those facing hardship. The event followed a state visit at Windsor Castle, where the Royal Family hosted the German President and other notable guests in a festive celebration.
