Israel, Greece and Cyprus are reportedly considering the formation of a joint rapid-response military force in the eastern Mediterranean. The initiative, discussed by senior military officials and analysts, would involve a brigade-level unit of around 2,500 troops, with contributions from all three countries. The force would integrate land, air and naval elements, operating from bases in Israel, Cyprus and the Greek islands of Rhodes and Karpathos.
