Claudio Neves Valente, the suspect in the recent mass shooting at Brown University and the fatal shooting of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor, was found dead in a New Hampshire storage facility. An autopsy revealed he had been dead for two days before being discovered. Authorities believe Valente killed two students and wounded nine others at Brown University before fatally shooting professor Nuno F.G. Loureiro at his home. Both Valente and Loureiro had attended the same school in the 1990s, but the motive for the professor's killing remains unclear.
