Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon assured the public of increased patrols to maintain safety and support those grieving. In response to the attack, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced a comprehensive review of federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies, to be led by Dennis Richardson, with findings to be released in April 2026.
