Investigators say Lavie used dating apps, social media, and personal relationships to target victims, often wealthy older men, stealing cash, credit cards, and luxury items by posing as a girlfriend or companion. The charges stem from incidents involving at least five victims, but law enforcement reports the number continues to grow, with cases surfacing not only in California but also in other states and overseas.

Lavie's public image as a jet-setting model was central to gaining trust, according to accusers, who describe her as using her beauty and lifestyle to access homes and financial accounts. Other women have come forward with similar stories, including a fellow model who recounted a disturbing trip where Lavie allegedly sought out wealthy men to exploit. Additional allegations emerged after Lavie's appearance on a podcast, where guests reported missing cash and credit cards.

Lavie has pleaded not guilty and is currently on home detention with an electronic ankle monitor as detectives continue to investigate and encourage more potential victims to come forward.
