Retired police detective Tzachi Havkin, who previously investigated Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's corruption cases, is under suspicion for passing confidential information to a prominent crime family in exchange for bribes. Havkin, who later testified about alleged police misconduct in Netanyahu's trial, was arrested along with three other officers. Investigators believe Havkin provided details about police operations and intelligence on rival criminal groups to the Musli crime family. The Justice Ministry suspects the group received inside information about an ongoing case against its leader and plans to recruit a state witness.
