Israel experienced a second consecutive year of negative migration in 2025, with more than 69,000 citizens leaving the country amid ongoing conflict and political tensions. The population grew by just 1.1 percent, reaching 10.18 million, marking one of the slowest growth rates in the nation's history. Immigration numbers declined, particularly from Russia, while the overall migration balance resulted in a net loss of about 20,000 people. Despite these trends, Israel recorded 182,000 births and a net population increase of 112,000, with Jews making up over three-quarters of the total population.
