Police in Tel Aviv detained prominent right-wing agitator Mordechai David and five other counterprotesters after a brawl erupted with anti-government demonstrators at Habima Square. The confrontation began as officers observed several individuals disrupting public order near the start of the protest. During the incident, another right-wing activist damaged a photographer's camera lens but was only removed from the scene, not arrested. David, who has a history of attempted arson and threatening journalists, claimed he was detained because left-wing protesters attacked him after he voiced support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a separate incident at the same protest, police arrested a 16-year-old boy from Bnei Brak who was caught attempting to set fire to a Pride flag. Officers intervened before the flag was ignited and took the teenager in for questioning.
