Iran is experiencing its largest wave of protests in three years, sparked by soaring inflation and the collapse of its currency. Demonstrations began with shopkeepers in Tehran and have since spread nationwide, fueled by economic hardship, mismanagement, and restrictions on political and social freedoms.

Iran's top judge has issued a stern warning to protesters, vowing no leniency for those he accuses of aiding foreign adversaries. He specifically pointed to Israel and the United States as instigators, accusing them of using hybrid tactics to destabilize the country.

The western provinces have seen the most intense unrest, with reports of violent clashes, attacks on banks, and looting of food stores. Authorities have not released a protester death toll, but confirm casualties among security forces and ongoing tensions in affected regions.
