A new poll reveals that a significant majority of Republican voters support increased military intervention abroad, with 67 percent backing further strikes in countries beyond Venezuela. This contrasts sharply with Democrats, only 25 percent of whom favor more intervention, and independents at 41 percent. Despite President Donald Trump's campaign promises to end 'forever wars,' his party remains notably hawkish, with Iran emerging as the top choice for future U.S. military action among Republicans.
Overall, Americans are divided on the issue, with 43 percent supporting more intervention and 42 percent preferring the U.S. stay out of other countries' affairs. The poll also found that 31 percent of respondents believe Trump's actions in Venezuela make a strike on Iran more likely, a sentiment shared across party lines. The survey, conducted by J.L. Partners for the Daily Mail, included 999 registered voters and has a margin of error of 3.1 percent.
