Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara is expected to decide soon whether to launch a criminal investigation into Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's chief of staff, Tzachi Braverman, for alleged obstruction of justice. This follows revelations by former spokesperson Eli Feldstein, who claimed Braverman told him he could halt an investigation into the leak of classified intelligence from the premier's office during the Gaza war. Feldstein described a late-night meeting in an underground parking lot where Braverman disclosed knowledge of an army probe before it was publicly known. Recent police findings have reportedly strengthened the case against Braverman, and the attorney general will determine the next steps. Braverman is also set to become the next ambassador to the United Kingdom in the coming months.
