IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has announced a series of senior military appointments, all approved by Defense Minister Israel Katz. Six officers have been promoted to brigadier general or rear admiral, while two others have advanced to colonel or naval captain. Additionally, several officers will take on new roles at their current ranks.

Among the key changes, Brigadier General Guy Levy will become the next chief of staff of the Israeli Navy, receiving the rank of rear admiral. Rear Admiral Eli Soholitzky, currently commander of the Haifa Naval Base, will lead the Navy's Operations Division. Brigadier General Ohad Maor will head the Ground Forces' personnel division, filling a position that has been vacant for months.
