Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva held a 45-minute conversation to review the progress of the strategic partnership between India and Brazil. Both leaders emphasized the importance of their cooperation for the interests of developing nations and pledged to work together on reforms to the United Nations Security Council. President Lula is scheduled to visit India from February 19 to 21, where he will participate in an artificial intelligence summit and discuss further collaboration.
The discussion also touched on ongoing global issues, including the situation in Gaza and the need for multilateral approaches to peace. Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties in areas such as trade, technology, defense, energy, health, and agriculture. The leaders expressed satisfaction with the achievements in bilateral cooperation and looked forward to deepening their partnership in the coming year.
