Israel has announced plans to open the Rafah Crossing for pedestrian passage, pending the completion of a focused military search operation. The decision follows a security cabinet meeting and is contingent on the return of all living hostages and efforts to recover the bodies of those killed. The Prime Minister's Office emphasized that the current operation is aimed at locating and returning the body of Master Sergeant Ran Gvili. Once the operation concludes and in coordination with the United States, the crossing will be opened under full Israeli monitoring.
