The Israel Police have outlined detailed plans for the state funeral of fallen police officer Staff Sgt. Rani Gvili, set to take place in Meitar on Wednesday. The procession will begin early in the morning, with the family traveling from Meitar to the Shura military base in Ramla, and then returning with the coffin for the funeral events.
A main eulogy ceremony will be held near the Meitar Sports Center, followed by a burial at the local cemetery with limited attendance and no media allowed. Police have implemented strict security measures, including restricted vehicle entry to Meitar, controlled access to the eulogy area, and a ban on weapons except for police and authorized personnel.
The public is encouraged to line the route to honor Staff Sgt. Rani Gvili, who was recognized for his heroism during recent national events.
