A twelve-member Palestinian technocratic committee, known as the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, is preparing to enter the Gaza Strip later this week, according to officials. The committee, which has been meeting in Cairo since its formation last month, is set to take over the management of daily affairs in Gaza following the conflict. All members of the committee are originally from Gaza, although some have been living outside the territory in recent years. Their entry will take place via the Rafah Crossing, which has just reopened for pedestrian crossings after a year-long closure.
