Epstein 'alive' theories explode after DOJ file dump

The release of three million files by the Department of Justice about Jeffrey Epstein has reignited a wave of conspiracy theories online, with many speculating that Epstein is still alive. Social media has been flooded with claims of Epstein sightings, including a widely circulated but fake image of him in Israel and a debunked theory involving a Fortnite account. The gaming company behind Fortnite confirmed that the account in question was not linked to Epstein, but rather a player who changed their username to mimic one found in the released files.

Further fueling speculation, newly released documents revealed that investigators noticed an 'orange flash' on prison CCTV footage near Epstein's cell the night before his death, leading to questions about whether another inmate accessed the area. However, official reports suggest the flash could have been a corrections officer or someone carrying bedding, and there is no evidence supporting the more extreme theories. Despite clear debunking, public interest in Epstein conspiracy theories remains high, as reflected in a recent online poll where a significant portion of respondents doubted the official account of his death.
