US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of the US President, visited the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier stationed in the Arabian Sea. The visit comes after the carrier's recent arrival in the region amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran. Witkoff and Kushner, who were involved in indirect talks with Iran in Oman, were invited by the head of US Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper. According to a senior US official, their main purpose was to meet and thank the service members aboard the vessel.
