A London-based Persian language television channel has suspended its live broadcasts after being alerted to a potential threat from Iran. Manoto TV said the warning came through its landlord, who was contacted by counterterrorism police in the United Kingdom regarding a possible risk linked to the Iranian government.

The landlord has since informed the broadcaster of plans to terminate its tenancy, and staff have been prevented from accessing the building. As a result, live programming has been temporarily halted while the station seeks alternative arrangements.

In a statement, the channel said the threats against freedom of speech have intensified during what it described as one of the most sensitive moments in Iran's history. The broadcaster said its priority is to resume live transmissions from a secure and stable location as soon as possible.
