Republican voters are giving Democratic Senator John Fetterman strong approval ratings, while support from members of his own party has sharply declined. Fetterman has drawn bipartisan attention for siding with Republicans on issues such as support for Israel, elements of President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda, and the use of the National Guard to address crime. He has also publicly criticized fellow Democrats for skipping the president’s recent address to Congress, urging lawmakers to show respect for the office regardless of party.
