The United States has seen evidence that Iran is attempting to rebuild its nuclear program following strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in June, according to Vice President JD Vance. He stated that Iran cannot be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon and warned that efforts to rebuild such capabilities would create serious problems.
Vance’s remarks come ahead of planned talks in Geneva between American and Iranian delegations. He said President Donald Trump prefers to address the issue through diplomacy but emphasized that other options remain available if negotiations fail.
Senior envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to participate in the discussions. The upcoming negotiations are aimed at confronting concerns over Iran’s nuclear activities and preventing further escalation.
