Satellite imagery has revealed the arrival of 11 F-22 stealth fighter jets at Ovda Air Force Base in Israel, marking a significant expansion of United States air defense capabilities in the Middle East. The deployment, confirmed by images from MizarVision, is part of a broader effort to strengthen the United States military presence in the region following the June 2025 war with Iran.
The move was carried out in coordination with the Israeli Air Force and includes the deployment of advanced air defense batteries. The F-22 aircraft are rarely stationed outside the United States, highlighting the strategic importance of the deployment.
In recent days, transport and refueling aircraft have also arrived to provide logistical support for the squadron. Officials from the Israeli military and United States Central Command said the addition of the stealth fighters and advanced air defense systems enhances Israel's ability to respond to immediate threats and maintain operational control in rapidly changing combat conditions.
