Israel carried out air raids on several towns in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley near the Syrian border, targeting areas around Shmustar, Boudai, Harbata, western Baalbek, and near Hermel. The strikes were accompanied by low-altitude flights from Israeli fighter jets and caused loud explosions across the region.

The Israeli military said the attacks focused on eight camps belonging to Hezbollah's Radwan Force, describing it as an elite unit within the group. A military spokesman stated that large quantities of weapons and missiles were stored at the sites, which were allegedly used for training and military exercises.

The bombardment comes despite a ceasefire reached in November 2024 intended to end hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah. Israel has continued to conduct strikes in Lebanon and recently warned it would take action if Hezbollah became involved in any potential conflict between the United States and Iran amid ongoing tensions over nuclear negotiations.
