Hezbollah expressed solidarity with Iran as it faced attacks from the United States and Israel, warning of serious consequences for the region but stopping short of saying whether it would intervene. In a statement, the group said the United States and Israel would face a major blow and cautioned that the situation would affect everyone if left unchallenged.
The Iran-backed movement, founded in 1982, has fought multiple conflicts with Israel and was significantly weakened during a 2024 war in which its leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed. Israel has warned Lebanon that it would target civilian infrastructure, including the airport, if Hezbollah joins any conflict involving Iran.
Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said he would not allow the country to be drawn into actions that threaten its security and unity, in remarks widely seen as directed at Hezbollah. The statements highlight growing regional tensions as fighting intensifies between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
