Iran's ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, accused Israel and the United States of carrying out what he described as 'unprovoked and premeditated aggression' against Iran during an emergency Security Council session. He claimed that hundreds of civilians were killed or injured on the first day of strikes, alleging that civilian infrastructure was deliberately targeted.

Iravani said more than 100 children were killed at a school and asserted that the attacks constitute 'atrocious crimes.' He described the military action as not only an act of aggression but also a war crime and a crime against humanity, stating that the number of civilian casualties continues to rise.
