IndiGo has announced that it will operate flights on March 7, 2026, to five destinations in West Asia despite ongoing regional tensions. The flights will serve Dubai Airport, Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah Airport, Akrotiri Airport and Fujairah International Airport. Return services will also operate to Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad to assist Indian nationals seeking to travel back home.
The airline said it is taking these steps to help passengers reach their destinations and reunite with their families, while prioritizing safety and regulatory approvals. The decision comes amid widespread disruptions to airspace caused by the escalating conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
In addition, IndiGo has introduced a waiver allowing passengers to cancel or reschedule bookings without charge until March 31, 2026, for travel to and from West Asia and Istanbul. The conflict, which began with joint strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran on February 28 and has since seen retaliatory attacks, has now entered its eighth day.
