The Bharatiya Janata Party in Telangana has criticised leaders of the Congress party for their remarks on the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran. The party described the comments as senseless and bizarre, accusing Congress leaders of creating confusion and demonstrating a poor understanding of global geopolitics.
State chief spokesperson N V Subash specifically targeted Rahul Gandhi for suggesting that the conflict was effectively a confrontation between the United States on one side and China and Russia on the other. Subash said such statements reflected a complete ignorance of international affairs and a misunderstanding of global developments.
He added that the Union government was closely monitoring the economic situation arising from the conflict and had engaged with exporters, shipping companies and other stakeholders to minimise disruption to trade and supply chains.
