Gwen Stefani says faith in God helped 'active love' for Blake Shelton

Gwen Stefani shared that her faith in God played a central role in both her personal growth and her relationship with Blake Shelton. Speaking on a prayer and meditation platform, she said she experienced 'active love' for the first time with Shelton, describing it as a conscious and consistent choice to care for someone through sacrifice and intentional action. She admitted she initially struggled to receive that kind of love, feeling uncomfortable when someone prioritized her needs.

Stefani and Shelton met in 2014 while working on a television singing competition and began dating after both ended their previous marriages. They became engaged in 2020 and married in 2021. She reflected that her understanding of love deepened alongside her evolving relationship with God, which she now sees as the foundation for her confidence in her talent and purpose.

The singer also spoke about rediscovering Christianity after becoming pregnant with her third son at age 44, an experience she called her 'first miracle.' After believing she could not have another child, she said the unexpected pregnancy strengthened her faith and reshaped her view of her gifts, leading her to believe she is meant to share them as part of God’s plan.
