The Israeli military confirmed that it carried out airstrikes on two bridges over the Litani River in Lebanon, stating that the crossings were being used by Hezbollah to transport operatives and weapons into southern Lebanon.
According to the military, Hezbollah used the bridges to move thousands of weapons, rockets and launchers intended for attacks against Israeli troops and civilians from areas south of the Litani River. The strikes were described as an effort to disrupt these activities.
The Israeli military said the operation was aimed at preventing harm to both Israeli and Lebanese civilians by limiting the militant group's ability to carry out attacks.
