Iran has executed three individuals convicted of killing police officers during unrest earlier this year, according to the country’s judiciary. The executions were carried out on Thursday.

Authorities stated that the three were found guilty of murdering two members of law enforcement during the January unrest. The judiciary also accused them of conducting operational actions in favor of the United States and Israel.

The announcement was published by the judiciary’s official news outlet, which confirmed that the sentences were carried out by hanging.
