Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on European leaders to join Israel and the United States in their military campaign against Iran, citing Tehran's recent long-range missile launch toward the joint United States and United Kingdom base at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. Speaking at the site of a missile strike in Arad, he said the attempted attack demonstrated that Iran now possesses missiles capable of reaching deep into Europe.
Netanyahu accused Iran of threatening global stability by targeting international maritime energy routes and attempting to pressure the world through its actions in the Strait of Hormuz. He said some countries are beginning to consider joining the campaign but stressed that broader international participation is needed.
He also condemned recent Iranian fire near holy sites in Jerusalem, noting that missiles landed close to the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Netanyahu said Israel is responding forcefully but is targeting the Iranian regime, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, its leadership, installations, and economic assets, rather than civilians.
