Ex-Minnesota gov. calls for Barron Trump to enlist in military

Former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura has publicly urged President Donald Trump’s son, Barron Trump, to enlist in the United States military amid the ongoing conflict involving America, Israel, and Iran. Speaking during a televised interview, Ventura criticized the president as a 'draft-dodging coward' and argued that leaders should only support war if they are willing to send their own children into combat.

Ventura, a Vietnam War veteran, said no member of the Trump family in the past century has served in the military and challenged Barron to 'do something your father didn't have the courage to do.' He dismissed claims that Barron, who is reportedly six feet nine inches tall, would be too tall to serve, pointing to professional basketball player David Robinson’s prior military service.

During the interview, Ventura also questioned the 2024 assassination attempt against Trump, suggesting without evidence that it may have been staged and asking why there is no visible scar. The comments came as Barron Trump, a university student who largely stays out of the public eye, recently appeared in support of his father at a high-profile political address.
