A growing number of international airlines have suspended or extended cancellations of flights to and from Israel as the war with Iran continues. Carriers cite ongoing security concerns as the primary reason for halting service, with some suspensions now stretching into the summer travel season.
Delta Air Lines has extended the suspension of its Tel Aviv routes from New York and Atlanta through Sept. 5 and indefinitely postponed the launch of a planned Boston route. United Airlines has canceled its Tel Aviv flights through June 14. The Lufthansa Group said its airlines will suspend service to and from Tel Aviv through May 31, with some of its affiliated carriers halting operations earlier.
Other airlines have announced varying suspension timelines. British Airways and Poland’s national carrier will keep flights grounded through May 31, while Air Canada extended cancellations into early May. Several European and Middle Eastern airlines have paused service through April, and some, including Norwegian Air and easyJet, have delayed their return until mid-June or suspended flights for the entire summer season.
