Thailand has reached an agreement with Iran to ensure that Thai oil tankers can safely transit through the Strait of Hormuz, according to Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.
The prime minister announced the deal at a press conference, stating that the arrangement will help secure the safe passage of Thai vessels carrying oil supplies through the strategically important waterway.
The agreement is expected to ease concerns over Thailand's fuel imports and strengthen energy security by reducing risks linked to maritime transit in the region.
