The German-French defense group KNDS and Israel-based Elbit Systems have agreed to establish a joint venture to supply rocket artillery systems to European armed forces. The new company will be based in Kassel, Germany, and will focus on expanding both firms’ presence in Europe’s growing defense market.
The partnership will combine Elbit’s rocket launcher platform with fire control technology developed by KNDS, aiming to deliver an advanced, integrated artillery solution tailored to European military requirements. The move comes as countries across Europe continue to boost defense spending and strengthen their long-range fire capabilities.
As part of a government-to-government arrangement involving the Netherlands and Israel, Germany has already ordered five launchers as an initial operational capability. Delivery of the systems is expected in 2027.
