Knesset committee members forced to take shelter during briefing on war

Members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee were forced to take shelter during an Iranian missile attack that interrupted a closed session on the ongoing war. Lawmakers had been receiving an operational intelligence briefing on Operation Roaring Lion and were voting to approve the declaration of a special situation on the home front when the attack began.

Coalition and opposition members relocated to the Knesset Diaspora Committee chamber, which is reinforced as a bomb shelter. While sheltering together, the lawmakers took a selfie as a gesture of unity during the wartime emergency.
