More than 870 people have been killed since the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran, triggering a widening military conflict across the Middle East. Most of the deaths have occurred in Iran, where strikes have targeted nuclear facilities, military sites and senior leaders, including Iran's supreme leader. Iranian authorities report hundreds killed across more than 150 counties.
Civilians have been heavily affected. A strike on a girls school in Minab left 175 people dead, many believed to be children, marking one of the deadliest single घटनts of the conflict so far. Funerals for victims have drawn large crowds as the scale of the devastation becomes clearer.
The violence has spread beyond Iran, with fatalities reported in Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Israel. Six American soldiers have been killed in attacks on bases in Kuwait, while missile and drone strikes have caused civilian casualties and injuries across the region.
Foreign nationals are among the dead, underscoring the global toll of the fighting. As missile exchanges and airstrikes continue, leaders have warned that further military and civilian casualties are likely in the days ahead.
