Pentagon names four US soldiers killed in Kuwait drone strike

The Defense Department has released the names of four of the six service members killed in the ongoing conflict with Iran, stating they died in a drone strike in Kuwait. The attack targeted a command center in Port Shuaiba on Sunday, one day after the United States and Israel began a military campaign against Iran, which has since carried out retaliatory strikes.

The soldiers were all members of the Army Reserve assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command in Des Moines, Iowa. Those killed were Captain Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida; Sergeant First Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska; Sergeant First Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; and Specialist Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa.

The strike occurred amid escalating tensions in the region, with smoke reported rising near areas of Kuwait City following Iranian attacks. Officials have not yet released additional details about the other two service members who were killed.
